Education and Research

I studied Psychology and English at the University of California, Berkeley—an experience that opened my eyes to the richness of human perspectives. It deepened my belief that each person carries their own unique inner world, shaped by culture, story, and experience. This curiosity about how we develop and relate led me into early research roles at UC Berkeley and UCSF, where I worked on neurocognitive behavioral testing in rats.

Though the work was meaningful, I found myself missing connection—the relational depth that comes from sitting across from another person. That realization pulled me toward clinical practice.

Clinical Training & Experience

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, where I gained clinical experience working with individuals and couples at the on-campus counseling center. I also facilitated group therapy sessions focused on identity, anxiety, and relational dynamics.

After graduating, I continued my training at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills. There, I worked with adults and couples facing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, and acute life transitions. I also led therapy groups focused on emotional regulation and interpersonal growth.

Work with Children & Families

In private practice, I expanded my work to include school-based therapy for children and adolescents ages 4–15. I support young clients managing emotional and behavioral challenges related to ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and intellectual disability. My work extends beyond the therapy room—I collaborate closely with families, educators, and support teams to foster consistency, resilience, and positive change across environments.

Trauma Therapy & EMDR

In 2017, I began advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research-backed approach to treating trauma and emotional overwhelm. I use EMDR with clients who are navigating PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. For many, it provides a grounded and efficient path toward relief and integration.
